Using the sound files on Aneurysm is fairly simple.

Most important is that you have your player (we recommend WinAmp) setup correctly. Make sure you have it set up as your default player for M3U playlist files.

iTunes users will experience problems with playing playlists via websites. This is an issue with how iTunes 'imports' the playlist's contents into it's library and sorts it alphabeticly. If you open a playlist in iTunes it will only play the first song and continue through your library in alphabeticle order. There are three things you can do:

1. Download M3U playlists to your desktop, open iTunes, and drag the playlist from your desktop to an empty area on the "source" sidebar on the left hand side of the iTunes window. Be careful NOT to drop the playlist into another playlist already there, like "Library."
2. Use Quicktime instead of iTunes.Open QuickTime menu, select "Preferences", select "QuickTime Preferences", then select the "Plugins" tab, then select the "Mime settings" button, then make sure the "MP3 Playlist File" button is checked.
3. Use M3U2iTunes or iTunes Opener. These are third-party applications which will get iTunes to work.

Now that your player is all set up, here are some guides on the icons you'll see.

Clickin on the yellow 'play' button () when seen on a band page will stream the full album listed to the left of the button. CLicking on the same yellow button when seen on an album page will stream the song listed to the left of the button. These are low quality versions of the music which will play after a short buffer is downloaded. This allows you to immediately listen as you download the file and is good for dial up connections as low as 28k.

Also on these pages is a red 'play' button (). On the band pages this will stream the entire bands discograpghy. On an album page it will stream that whole album.

In some track lists is an orange 'download' button (). This is to download a free higher quality (128kbps, 44.1khz) mp3 file for your keeping. This feature is only available on selected songs. The download may take as much as 30 minutes (depending on the files size) if you have a slow connection.

As of now we can accept check, moneyorder or Paypal. US Funds only. International orders need to include four dollar ($4) per item postage. United States orders are postage paid. That means it's included doOd!

Make checks and money orders payable to Aneurysm Records! You can use a piece of paper and make your own order form as well. Make sure to include the item numbers, description, sizes, where to ship, etc.

PAYPAL:
If you have a Paypal account you can send payment with credit card or through your bank account. We have set up an excellent Paypal shopping cart system on which you may use to add and/or remove items and then check out with. Or you may do it manually by sending payment to nivekretrac@hotmail.com. Make sure to send the correct amount of funds and in the notes section write 'order enclosed' or something similar. Then email us at with a list of the items you want. Make sure to include the item numbers and a brief description. You can also copy and paste the order form into your email after filling it out. Your order will be processed within 24 hours.

We use PhpBB 2 forum software for our message board. User accounts with 0 number of posts 15 days after registration are subject to account deletion. This is to optimize disk quota for our database. We need the space for active users.

The wallpaper downloads are for your pleasure. Some have been authored by us and some are taken from other sites. Basicly it's the wall we have on our desktop here at the shop. If you see a wallpaper that is copyrighted and should not be distributed via other sites email us and it'll be removed. But we reserve the right to call you lame in such a case.

   Yes. We accept demos on standard cassette or CDr format. Please, no DATs.
   
   
3. Why are your CDs only available as CD-Rs?
   
   We're poor. And what's more DIY than making your own CDs from scratch?

   No... but join our mailing list and you'll be the first to know about promotions and specials.
   
   
5. Do you distribute?
   
   Yes... we will distribute your CD through our website for a 25% (of your selling price) commission charge. Email for details.

7. I just signed up on the forum, how do I get credited 'traffic' for the downloads section?
   
   Ask an admin for the newbe 10mb of credit.
   
   
8. How do I get more 'traffic' for the downloads section?
   
   Active members of the forum will be given more credit as their user level increases or if they are given credit by an admin.
